SCRxIBE was created by:

Janice MacLennan, a Director of St. Clair Solutions and St Clair Consulting.

Why was SCRxIBE created?

Organisations needed to ensure that the time invested in planning created value for the organisation;

They also recognised that the secret to creating value was by ensuring that the ‘thinking that goes into the plans is optimal' – this results in better plans, and better plans results in greater sales.

When SCRxIBE was conceived it had two key influences on its development:

  • user experience and feedback
  • the development and latest thinking about how marketing should be applied within the pharmaceutical industry.

Then there was the drive by organisations to standardise outputs i.e. the plans that are presented to senior management – SCRxIBE has since been refined to support this need as well. However, standardisation is not what has inspired or continues to inspire the further development of SCRxIBE, rather its about the thinking that goes into the decision-making, and integration of that thinking into tangible action plans, that is what sets SCRxIBE apart from competitor tools.

Janice MacLennan was co-author of one of the best selling pharmaceutical marketing texts book – ‘Marketing Planning for the Pharmaceutical Industry', and the sole author of the next book ‘ Brand Planning for the Pharmaceutical Industry' which becomes available in 2004 '.

SCRxIBE embodies the principles established in the first book and further built upon/strengthened in the second book.
